As the Director of Business Development, you will contribute to TRC's continued success by establishing name recognition in your territory and signing new clients.
Essential Job Functions
Achieve new business revenue goals.
Execute approved business plan for the assigned region that includes processes and effective selling techniques which ensure pipeline growth and prospect conversion for attainment of revenue goals.
Develop action plans for targeting sales prospects and penetrating new markets with input from manager.
Develop and present to manager a qualified prospects list that is in alignment with TRC’s growth objectives through networking, market analysis, client leads, and other referral sources.
Demonstrate ability to develop strategic relationships with prospects.
Establish a high level of visibility within assigned region through participation in trade shows and industry events.
Use CRM software to report and track new leads and progression of business targets.
Assist with contract negotiations in a way that reflects a comprehensive understanding of the prospect’s needs while maintaining appropriate profit margins.
Develop effective relationships and communication with others in the organization to ensure seamless service to new clients and a flawless implementation process.
Seek out and demonstrate knowledge of industry trends by applying that information to the sales process and sharing within the organization.
Gather, research and share information for competitive intelligence
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in relocation or real estate industries
Educational, Experience, and Licensing Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in a commissioned sales role
CRP and GMS certification strongly preferred
Other Qualifications
Skilled at managing complex sales targeted to corporate executives.
Comprehensive understanding of contracts, negotiation techniques, and value-added propositions.
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop technical business correspondence.
Work under minimal direction, organized and have the ability to prioritize commitments and projects
Strong customer relations skills that include the ability to work with discretion and integrity
Self-motivated
Team player with a strong work ethic
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Demonstrate highest level of professionalism in both appearance and behavior
Able to maintain regular, standard work hours
Position requires off-hours flexibility with 50% overnight travel. Ability to lift/carry up to 10 pounds and climb stairs.
