Job Description

Responsibilities:
  •  Receive and check-in of raw materials, purchased stock and finished items, equipment, supplies and returned goods.
  • Check received goods to purchase orders or receiving slips as to identification, type, part number, dimension, size, weight and general quality.
  • Inspect goods received for damage from handling and transit.
  • Deliver materials to storage or manufacturing area.
  • Responsible for keeping receiving docks and aisles clean of materials as received so as not to impede further arrival of materials.
  • Drive and unload box truck as needed
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • Vocational or high school education.
  • Forklift Certified with 3 years of forklift driving experience
  • Strong safety record
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of receiving experience to become familiar with material identities, receiving procedures, material handling methods, and to attain accuracy and proficiency requirements.
  • Basic Computer skills

  Physical Demands:
 
  • Ability to lift, bend, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. 40lbs on a regular basis and 75lbs occasionally.
  • Operate motorized equipment including fork trucks and box truck.  Ability to climb on and off is required.
