Job Description

Steelwind seeks an energetic general maintenance tech to perform PM's, forklift oil changes, etc. on manufacturing equipment such as blast, dust collectors, weld machines, forklifts, paint equipment and vehicles.  Must be able to work independently or in a team.

Coordinates with skilled tradesmen and/or assigned supervisor(s) for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.

Maintains assigned vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.

Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to.

perform functions.

Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying

information.

Repairs equipment and/or components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.

Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring timely and accurate repair.

 

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in

skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc.;  and adhering to safety practices.
