Special Event / Program Coordinator Description:
Special Events Coordinator promotes and enhances TBEY's strategic mission and image by providing oversight, organization, and implementation of a wide range of special events and programs. The Special Events Coordinator works with the Program director to establish a strategy to increase donor involvement in development activities and public relations events. The Special Events Coordinator plans and coordinates local, regional, and national events to ensure the successful execution of fund raising activities through effective interaction with volunteer leadership, TBEY staff, and outside resources. He/She also will be responsibilities for research and development for all events and programs.
Some weekend and evening work is required. Special event management experience; and organizational, team, interpersonal, and computer skills are essential.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of public relations principles and techniques.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, to groups and individuals.
Ability to be an effective team member
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent project management skills
Marketing skills are an asset
Ability to motivate others
Negotiation skills are an asset
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors and a variety of other public and private officials.
This is a internship for college students.
