Warehouse Sorter- Part Time AM / Madison Job Opening at Dunham Express in Madison, WI

Dunham Express, the industry leader in same day delivery, is seeking individuals for a Part Time Warehouse Sorter position at our Madison Facility. 

As a Warehouse Sorter, you are responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner. You are responsibility to quickly locate the destination zip code and/or delivery address on an incoming box and securely place it in the designated area in the warehouse.  Sorters may be assigned to or rotate through various areas and positions such as Loader, Unloader, Scanner and Sorter.

You must sort at a rate of 125 packages per hour or better, while maintaining excellent handling and safety.  You are required to read labels, verify numbers, memorization and carrying out instructions and working rapidly for long periods of time. Most tasks are well defined and require general judgment or interpretation.  This job requires the ability to constantly lift and lower packages up to 75 lbs independently, and above 75 lbs with help. The work is exceptionally fast, and it takes some time to build up enough endurance to be able to keep up.  Expect to be physically exhausted for the first few weeks of employment, and at peak times thereafter.

Qualifications include the ability to lift 75#, perform repetitive lifting, be able to work independently or in a group, read and speak English. Attention to detail and organization skills are a must.
 

Shift: Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 3am to 7am
          Tuesday and Thursday, 3am to 9am
