Position Description
Reports to: President
Responsibilities:
Experience:
Min. of 3 years experience in estimating for Metal Fabrication / Manufacturing company. Must be organized, detail oriented.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to read drawings, manual and cad.
Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures within a job shop environment.
Education:
Associate degree or equal in mechanical or equivalent engineering field.
Basic Computer knowledge with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word; Cad Key and/or Auto Cad.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation from Customers to prepare Quote to include material costs, labor costs and lead-time.
- Send Vendor’s/Suppliers RFQ’s for services and/or materials and review for best price.
- Make buy analysis. Determine if we should make in-house or buy.
- Supply chain for sourcing Machining, Painting and Sandblasting.
- Prepare Quote for customers.
- Create Methods from Quotes, create inspection sheets, scan drawings and inspection sheets to Customer Data file, and attach Drawings and Inspection sheets to Methods.
