|Wackenhut Services Inc., a premier provider of security protective force, fire, EMS, and facilities management services to government clients, is seeking candidates for the position of Range Master and Firearms Instructor for our National Capital Region office in Oxon Hill, MD.|
|Manage firing range and supervise weapons re-qualification training in overseas locations.|
Maintain weapons qualification on the Glock, M4, Shotgun, and .38 caliber revolver.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct weapons re-qualification training.
Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on hand for training.
Other administrative tasks as necessary to support range operations.
|U.S. Citizen and High School diploma or GED|
Provide verifiable evidence of successful training and work experience and have worked on other U.S. federal, state or local government training assignment.
Evidence of formal certification as an instructor in areas such as firearms, expandable baton, pepper spray, defensive tactic, and CPR.
Must pass a Government Security Investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Background Investigation, Drug Screen, and post offer Physical.
Three (3) yrs experience as a range master.
Diplomatic Security Certified Firearms Instructor.
Graduate of the DS Basic Field Firearms Officer Course.
Completed or served at least three(3)years experience in military, law enforcement or executive commercial protection.
One (1)year experience in personal protective assignments with demonstrated skill.
A minimum of one (1) year working as a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Firearms Instructor.
Experience can be gained in the employ of any national, State/Provincial, Local or Commercial entities providing high threat protective services.
