Brief Description

The Rexnord Gear group seeks a Lean Quality Engineer who is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt to help lead key initiatives.


Key Accountabilities
• Work within Lean/RBS (Rexnord Business Systems) culture to identify, design/create, implement and execute internal green belt and black belt training program.
• Identify and scope green belt and black belt projects for those involved in the training program; mentor, supervise, facilitate, and lead when appropriate.
• Improve key business metrics of Quality, OTD, productivity and EBITDA by implementing and supporting lean and continuous improvement activities.
• Drive the operation to reduce scrap, improve inventory turns, ensure 95% on-time delivery to customer want date, improve and sustain product availability and reduce manufacturing lead times.
• Promote and facilitate work flow analysis and creation/implementation of standard work to achieve improvement priorities.
• Educate, engage and empower future leaders by creating and facilitating lean daily management training and development programs.
• Coordinate and track the monthly strategy deployment activities and initiatives in support of meeting Business Metrics, Annual Improvement Priorities (AIPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Drive “best practices” in all areas of responsibility.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college required; MBA or other Master’s degree preferred.
• Requires Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
• Prior experience training six sigma green belts is required.
• Requires 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience with Lean/Six Sigma, Quality, continuous improvement, Engineering.

• Ambitious in attitude and execution; ready to take on increasing responsibility with potential for advancement.
