SUMMARY:The Performance Analyst is responsible for the audit of performance returns. This individual utilizes strong analytical skills to identify trends and resolve complex account situations. A thorough understanding of performance calculations and reporting must be exhibited through strong communication skills when providing explanations to individuals at all levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Performs detailed quality control checks on portfolio accounting systems.
2. Analyzes performance outliers and audits performance reports through the review of account activity and reports.
3. Analyzes and resolves special account situations which may be complex.
4. Responds to inquiries and resolves issues raised by Financial Advisors or Client Relationship Assistants in the Private Wealth Management group.
5. Maintains and reconciles client account activity on an outside portfolio accounting system.
6. Updates and creates various Excel spreadsheets.
7. Validates and audits enhancements to reports and applications.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:1. Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Business, Finance, or Accounting and 3-5 years of experience in financial or accounting capacity. Investment Advisory experience and prior experience with a performance reporting platform preferred.
2. Series 7 and 66 licensed or willingness to become licensed within 12 months.
3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to perform advanced calculations.
4. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written with exceptional attention to detail.
5. Ability to tolerate peak workloads which occasionally involves working weekends and late nights.
6. A motivated individual who has a desire to learn, and an ability to think creatively in both an individual and team setting.
7. Strong PC skills with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Access.
