VP of Finance/CFO

Our client, a privately held successful manufacturing company is currently recruiting for a VP of Finance/Controller . This person will be the top financial non-owner executive within the organization. This position will direct the organizations financial and accounting functions as well as be a member of the executive team to help set strategic initiatives to best position the organization in the marketplace. Responsibilities include:

Participates in overall management decisions of the company as a member of the senior management team

Coordinates with senior management the development of the annual operating plan, quarterly reforecasts, long range planning and key performance indicators

Communicates to the organization the current financial results and identifies areas of risks/opportunities and issues facing the business

Ensures that each functional area is provided with the necessary financial information that compares current year spend to prior year, operating plan and latest forecast for accountability

Advises management as to tax implications, insurance coverage and operational needs to minimize risk and financial exposure.

Directs the preparation of budgets and adherence to such commitments

Work closely with executive team on material financial matters and ensure adherence to company procedural manual

Ensures capital expenditures are appropriately justified, authorized and spending is accurately captured and accounted for

Management of the bank and treasury functions and ensures adherence to bank covenants

Cash management to minimize borrowings and maximize liquidity and growth

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance, a CPA or CMA certification, a minimum of 10+ years in a manufacturing environment with prior Controller or CFO experience and 5+ years of banking/treasury management experience. MBA is preferred.
