continues to grow in its mission to support individuals with disabilities providing them growth and opportunity, through creative programming in a day service setting, as well as in our community. We are currently seeking Program Instructors - Group support ratio and 1:1 support and Personal Care Workers to use teachable moments to facilitate meaningful experiences and assist people with a variety of developmental disabilities, mental illness, traumatic brain injuries, physical challenges, and other medical needs to be able to participate in a diverse variety of daily activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES for group support include but are not limited to: facilitating group activities, recreation, and community events; document daily opportunities and obstacles; provide personal care support as needed; provide participant transportation in agency vehicles; participate in providing a safe and clean working environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES for 1:1 support include but are not limited to: those of a group ratio instructor; ensuring support and supervision with in the specific needs of the individual while assisting them in participating within the group; adhere to specific policies and procedures to ensure individual’s routine remains consistent; able to self-direct and dynamic; Work well under pressure and with high incidence of behavioral challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES for PCW include but are not limited to: assisting all individuals with any level of support needed to complete essential personal cares & hygiene; demonstrate a proactive approach to the health and wellbeing of participant; document daily opportunities and obstacles; provide participant transportation in agency vehicles; participate in providing a safe and clean working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS include being a responsible, committed, caring, self motivated individual with a positive attitude. Be willing to step into a leadership role as needed while working as a positive member of the team to provide appropriate social role modeling to people with disabilities. You must have a valid WI driver’s license with 3 years driving experience and an acceptable driving record. Must pass a physical and TB screen. Must be able to participate in a drug screening program. Must have an acceptable criminal background check. EOE
