Copywriting Intern:
Our Copywriting Internships provide hands-on experience working on real marketing projects in a busy, fast-paced environment. Interns will work with people at a variety of levels and have the opportunity to see the creative process from concept stage to execution. Responsibilities include working on direct marketing copy assignments that include primarily direct mail packages, inserts and blow-ins for magazines and books under guidance of a copy manager. Additionally, there will be some e-mail marketing jobs and internet jobs (minimal). Will also help out on proofreading.
Graphic Design Intern:
Your will assist in the layout and design of catalogs and magazine promotional pieces. Make design and type corrections to these promotions. Collect files when jobs are finished. Help out in photo studio preparing product shots. This will allow you the opportunity to understand what it takes to concept, design and lay out catalog pages and/or magazine promotion pieces from beginning to end; how the creative department works with marketing and other departments to complete a job. You will learn how to prioritize jobs according to deadlines.
Copywriting Intern Qualifications:
• You must be enrolled and in your junior or senior year
• Journalism or English majors required, but Communications, Advertising, and Marketing minors are a plus
• Strong writing, editing, multitasking, and organizational skills required
• Strong Microsoft Word experience required, Quark experience a plus
• Respect and appreciation for the brands and their respective target demographics
You will need to submit 3 writing samples along with your resume.
Graphic Design Qualifications:
• You must be enrolled and in your junior or senior year
• Graphic or Fine Arts major required
• Strong working knowledge of Mac-based graphics software, including QuarkXPress, Illustrator and PhotoShop
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize
• Respect and appreciation for the brands and their respective target demographics
You will need to submit 3 examples of published design work along with resume.
