Position Description
Field Service Engineer
Must have experience with high voltage equipment.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
? Starting up, troubleshooting and repairing complex power electronics equipment involving power levels of several megawatts.
? Setting up test and monitoring equipment (including 3 phase utility and load connections).
? Operating intermediate to complex computer based test and monitoring equipment.
? Approving, following and frequently assisting in the creation of detailed work and safety procedures.
? Assisting in the resolution of customer issues.
? Occasionally assembling or modifying complicated standard & custom products.
? Occasionally responsible for instructing and directing a group of personnel, including subcontractors.
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
? Be a minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a good credit record
? Able to travel 80% of the time domestically, internationally on weekdays, weekends or holidays
? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience and an Associates Degree.
? Able to work from complicated drawings, sketches or schematics and test procedures.
? Knowledge in the use of as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, hipot, and various electronic test equipment.
? Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
? Over 5 years mechanical assembly, electrical wiring or maintenance of equipment, facilities or product
