JW Speaker Corporation is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist for our headquarters in Germantown, WI. JW Speaker specializes in the custom design and manufacture of off-road vehicle lighting for OEM’s. We are experienced in applications of HID (High Intensity Discharge), LED (Light Emitting Diodes) and Halogen lighting technologies.

About the Role
1st Priority: R&D/New Product Development (NPD) Sourcing
Identify and select low total cost suppliers – Alignment to commodity strategy
Work with R&D to develop supply chains on emerging technologies
Facilitate NPD Procurement processes
Ensure smooth hand off from NPD to on-going production
2nd Priority: Supply Chain alignment and accountability
Lead and manage commodity strategies
Identify, assess, and select suppliers that support strategic initiatives
Facilitate supplier certification process – supplier accountability and recognition
Understand market - ensure competitive piece price
Manage annual purchase agreements
3rd Priority – Continuous Improvement – Reduce Total Cost
Zone Metrics – demonstrate deep understanding – surface and solve problems
Use A3 problem solving tools and mindset – Creativity before capital
Utilize total cost analysis when evaluating supply chain options
Actively participate in process improvement (both internal and external)
Lead annual material cost reduction initiatives
Experience and Education Requirements:
MRP/ERP experience a must, preferably Syteline
Bachelor degree required, engineering degree preferred
Minimum of five years manufacturing experience
Seven to ten years of procurement experience with three to four of those years working directly on new product development sourcing
Critical: Negotiation skills, purchasing terms and conditions, effective communication and strategic thinking
