Controller (Financial Services Industry) Southeastern WI
Our client is seeking a Controller to join their team. This person must have a mix of the “day to day”, strategic and staff management (manages 6 people). The responsibilities include all accounting support for a major segment of the Corporation. This includes Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Project Support. This controller positions is considered to be a controller over the operations side of the financial services (banking) industry. Other responsibilities will include establishing policies and procedures to ensure that the company operates in the most efficient and cost effective manner to guard the safety of assets and provide the highest practical level of profitability. Review current activity to determine if the company is operating as efficiently and profitably as practicable and devise methods to improve both measurements. Monitoring corporate accounting policies and conforming company practice to corporate standards. Strategically partner with all business lines to balance financial and quality levels. Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and performance analytics -Experience in leading an accounting staff - A working knowledge of the mythology and technology of a production/operations environment is required. Prior financial services / banking expierence is required. Ideal candidate will have a BA and 10 years of related professional work experience in a related field. CPA is Required.
