Position/Internship Description
Looking for an Elementrary education major, college or university junior standing or above, to assist with curriculum research and development for programs for Wisconsin school children and teachers at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Other education tasks may be applicable during this internship.
Provide assistance in the development of education department online resources.
-Work with the Education Program Manager to create online resources; consisting primarily of updating/formatting existing resources. The department has a defined template created using Microsoft Publisher.
-Meet with a diverse group of educators and/or curators for vetting of accuracy of subject content.
-Attendance at MPM staff meetings and Museum-wide meetings as required/invited.
-Participate as intern staffing for a museum public programming – Multiple opportunities.
Must have had at least three education courses. Experience in curriculum development helpful.
Will accept a student within one year of college or university graduation.
Looking for optomistic and detailed oriented individuals who are interested in free-choice learning.
This is an unpaid position and must be performed during the working week for a minimum of 8 hours a week.
