Minimum of 7 years of experience in a food related quality control supervisory role. Accountable for complete Product Quality and Food Quality processes, this includes staffing requirements, new hire and rotational training, budget development / adherence, and documentation accuracy. Ensure compliance with USDA regulatory programs. Reviews QA Procedures, standards and policies to comply with AIB, FDA, FPA, NFP, SQF, USDA, and Federal, State, and Local Agencies. 1) Enhance company policies to stay ahead of changing USDA food safety standards. 2) Supervision, Training, & hiring of Staff 3) Develop food quality control programs, food safety standards and sanitary regulations. 4) Ensure proper food safety and food quality standards. 5) Evaluate and develop new processes for preserving, storing as well as packing products. 6) Plan and facilitate company audits for food security as well as food safety 7) Perform daily operational and pre-operational plant production inspections. 8) Ensure raw materials, manufacturing processes, plant environment and finished products meet established formulations and specifications. 9) Ensures compliance with Sanitation & Hygiene Policy and legislated requirements. 10) Compiles statistical data, reports, summaries and audits. 11) Assists Marketing and Operations in establishing product specifications and production procedures. 12) Participates as a member of Product Recall team 13) Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) through continued monitoring and employee awareness. 14) Provides technical guidance to production staff. 15) Provides direction and leadership of the company's Quality Assurance, Food Safety, GMP, Sanitation, Pest Control, and hygienic design programs 16) Maintains Master Sanitation Schedules 17) Acts as main point of contact for 3rd party auditors as well as coordinates internal improvement activities to comply with all regulations, etc. 18) Drives an effective corrective action program. Education Associates degree is desirable or AIB Baking & Science correspondence course. Knowledge of food manufacturing industry a plus and regulation inspection procedures is highly desired. Proven supervisory and leadership abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A minimum of three (3) years Operations experience in a food manufacturing company, with the responsibilities of producing, production control, maintenance, and quality improvement initiatives. Proven ability to train, and motivate personnel.
