Position Description

Responsible for directing all financial and fiscal management aspects of the Agriculture/Construction sub-vertical within Air Cooled products. Provides leadership and oversees all financial functions including budgeting, financial reporting & analysis, financial operations, product pricing and estimating. The Finance Manager will also support key business development and strategic planning processes to ensure all strategic priorities/actions are appropriately connected to sub-vertical markets.

Expected to provide timely and sound financial advice to the appropriate management members in order to make sound business decisions for the company, with a primary focus on:

  • Forecasting and Planning
  • 80/20
  • Profitability Analysis and Improvement Initiatives
  • Operational Reporting and Analysis
  • Investment Review and Prioritization
  • Supporting Growth Strategies and Analysis
Key Responsibilities
  • Performance / Variance Analysis
  • Lead the monthly forecasting and annual planning processes for the Agriculture/Construction Sub-Vertical. Finalize segment-level outputs in coordination with the Agriculture/Construction General Manager.
  • Compile relevant market data for volume projections in collaboration with the Agriculture/Construction General Manager.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports including ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the statements for two manufacturing plants.
  • Lead, direct, and control the organization's financial resources to maintain the short- and long-term financial health of the business.
  • Develop, mentor, and provide feedback to Plant Finance Managers
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the Vertical's vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
  • Communicate subvertical-level financial results and forecast outlook to the Finance Direct - Air Cooled Products.
  • Business Development Support (Valuation, DD, Integration)
  • 80/20 financial support, including data analytics and warehousing, along with target setting and tracking
  • Support compliance with Modine Financial Standard Practices and accounting controls. Maintain accounting control objectives for the Vertical Finance Team in coordination with the Corporate Controller.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA / CPA / CMA certifications a plus
  • Ability to partner with business leaders to achieve great results
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing and Financial Operations background
  • Experience leading/mentoring a team
  • Strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and operational controlling
  • Ability to think strategically and drive change
  • Strong process mindset
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization
  • Disciplined self-starter with proven ability to work independently, confidentially and with limited direction
  • Strong system skills including knowledge of a fully integrated ERP system; previous use and knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion is a plus
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
