Job Description:

• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. This includes analyzing shipment volumes, transit times, carrier performance, and freight costs.
• Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to minimize transportation costs, reduce transit times, and improve delivery accuracy. Utilize routing software and tools to optimize daily routes for both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Evaluate carrier performance, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with transportation providers. Monitor carrier compliance with service level agreements and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Continuously review and improve transportation processes to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and improve overall performance. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and reliable transportation services.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis of freight expenses, including fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, and carrier rates. Identify cost-savings opportunities and recommend strategies to reduce transportation costs

This position is responsible for optimizing transportation operations and logistics strategies within La-Z-Boy's distribution network. They will analyze transportation data, monitor performance metrics, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. The role encompasses various tasks related to route planning, carrier management, freight cost analysis, and continuous process improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Transportation Analyst or in a similar role
• Strong mathematical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes
• Up to 20% travel

• Experience with Power BI
• Final Mile Delivery Experience
• Experience with negotiations
