Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our client's team and contribute to their financial management on a flexible schedule.

Job Description:

As a Part-Time Bookkeeper for our client in the manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records to support their operations. Your attention to detail and proficiency in accounting practices will be essential in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our client's organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, verify purchase orders, and ensure timely payment of bills for raw materials, supplies, and services.
  2. Accounts Receivable: Generate and send invoices to customers for product sales, record incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts receivable.
  3. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, reconcile inventory records, and perform periodic inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
  4. Cost Accounting: Track production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses, and allocate costs to products accurately.
  5. Payroll Processing: Calculate and process employee payroll, including hours worked, overtime, and deductions, and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  6. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate records in the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  7. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into our client's financial performance.
  8. Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance, including sales tax, use tax, and payroll tax filings.
  9. Audit Support: Support financial audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations of financial transactions.
  10. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and business growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel; experience with manufacturing ERP systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and inventory management.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and financial analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to support decision-making.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
