Position Details

As aSecurity & Loss Prevention Business Partner you will be responsible for investigations of alleged criminal, ethical, or other activity across all departments by employees or non-employees. You will have project management responsibilities for a variety of security and loss prevention programs across a range of Grainger locations (screening operations, guard force management and physical security systems). In addition to the Security and Loss Prevention Department, you will work with representatives of Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and Fraud to ensure the delivery of complete investigations and security solutions. This position has responsibility for our West region branches as well as Call Centers, Sales Offices, Corporate Buildings and Tech centers where applicable.

Compensation

This position is salaried and will pay between $78,200.00 - $130,400.00 and will include an annual cash bonus of 5%. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidates experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.

You Will

  • Manage multiple types of investigations (i.e. theft/fraud, white collar crime, compliance/ethics, workplace violence, T&E and litigation support) end to end.
  • Conduct investigations that are completed in an objective manner and brought to a logical conclusion in the best interest of the company.
  • Create Workplace Violence safety action plans when issues arise.
  • Communicate Workplace Violence safety action plans with senior leadership.
  • Secure physical evidence.
  • Recover lost revenue/property and present facts to law enforcement officials for criminal prosecution.
  • Obtain restitution from discharged employees and acknowledged offenders.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of information developed during investigations and support the investigative efforts of others.
  • Compose investigative summaries related to investigations and prepare reports on behalf of Grainger.
  • Analyze security and loss data to identify trends and strengthen internal processes.
  • Conduct physical security assessments.
  • Provide training on Security & Loss Prevention information and best practices.
  • Create presentation materials for leadership.
  • Travel domestically across Grainger US locations up to 50% of the time; travel may occur on short notice.
  • Conduct other assignments assigned by your manager.

You Have

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 plus years of experience in related field.
  • Professional Certification (CPP, PCI, PSP, CFI) or similar professional certification.
  • ATAP certification or background in threat assessments is an asset
  • Cyber Security knowledge is considered an asset
  • Experience in Supply Chain loss prevention is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of investigative techniques and processes including due diligence, fraud and pretext analysis.
  • Behavioral interview training by John E. Reid & Associates, Wicklander-Zulawski and Associates or other such training is required.
