Job Details

pathophysiological changes in monoaminergic transmission, resulting in impulsivity and depressive-like behaviors in the context of NeuroHIV. Multidisciplinary approaches are available in Zhu's laboratory, including studies using cell culture (cells expressing human monoamine transporters, and their mutants), radioligand uptake/binding through the transporters, Co-IP and GST pull-down assays, transgenic mouse models, and behavioral assessments. Qualified candidates should have earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, neuropharmacology, behavior pharmacology or related discipline. Candidates with training and interest in regulation of monoamine transporter are encouraged to apply. Experience in cell couture, Fast-scan cyclic voltammetry (FSCV), rodent behavior testing (cognitive, depressive and drug rewarding effects), or neuropharmacology is desirable. Salary will be followed by NIH stipend levels for postdoctoral fellow but competitive. This position is immediately available.
