Working in ABB's Motion division in Large Motors and Generators, you will be leading the execution of small projects, ensuring that they are executed in line with procedures, specifications, standards requirements and targets. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the execution of medium size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
  • Define all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans
  • Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow
  • Identify, qualify, quantify and manages project risks and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued
  • Ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close out and its acknowledgement by the customer
  • Ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements
  • Coordinate with supply chain management and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
  • Support supply chain management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes
  • Act as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 6 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 8 years experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required.
  • Preferred Experience Includes: SAP knowledge, PMP or Lean Certifications, Motors or Rotating Equipment and a background in Engineering.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
