Job Description

As a Quality Associate Sr I, you will stage and qualify reagent consumables and other components as necessary under limited supervision to provide consumable materials to finished goods.You will review and analyze data. You will operate under 5S & Lean manufacturing principles and ISO standards.You can make a difference by producing innovative products that keep people and animals healthy.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift.

What you can expect in this role

  • You will read, analyze, and interpret quality control documents and technical procedures.

  • You will prepare and manage fluids, as well as, process, stage and track incoming materials for testing.

  • You will run IDEXX hematology analyzers and process data.

  • You will review and analyze data.

  • To participate in continuous improvement (Lean) initiatives that improve the value-added steps of the product flow.

  • Use your basic math skills add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • You will be working with multiple teams; strong communication skills are required.

What do you need to succeed?

  • You are an enthusiastic team player that would thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ideally, you'll have experience with best laboratory practices and pipetting skills.

  • You possess a High School diploma, additional science/laboratory-based education or experience is a plus.

  • You have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

  • You are able to meet the physical requirements of working in a fast-paced lab such as standing for 2hr+, sitting, phone & computer use, extended reach,lifting upto 50lb and to push/pull pallet jacks and carts, occasionally climb, kneel, or bend, and vision ability.


Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods; extend and reach with hands and arms; and use hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools.

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.

  • Occasionally required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push/pull pallet jacks and carts.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:

  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts; may be exposed to risk of electric shock; and occasionally exposed to vibration and lasers.

  • Personal protective equipment and/or clothing required.

Compensation
