HOW YOU WILL DO IT

Purpose Statement: The Brand Experience Leaders are accountable to lead the strategic brand initiatives and plans by deeply understanding the business objectives and establishing clear brand-building goals, contributing to the overall results delivery for Plexus. This position is assigned to lead the total brand experience for the target audience of Healthcare Life Science, and will report to the Sr. Brand Manager to enable and help bring together a compelling and consistent global Plexus brand experience. The strategic brand-builder is accountable to develop a rolling 12-month activation plan and lead executional excellence in close partnership with the creative and digital experience teams. Ultimately, this leader will develop a strategic and collaborative partnerships within the business focus area assigned to bring to life the brand positioning and differentiated value messaging.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Accountable to champion the Plexus brand strategic foundations to consistency build the global brand.
  • Build and maintain a strong, collaborative strategic partnership within the assigned business area to deeply understand the objectives, growth goals and brand-building opportunities.
  • Establish clear brand-building goals, KPIs and thresholds for plan optimizations, in service to the defined growth objectives.
  • Deeply understand the target audience and lead the development of prioritized personas that are imperative to growth; identify crisp value propositions to enable tailored content solutions.
  • Identify insights and lead the development of data-driven customer journey maps to understand and prioritize key moments that matter to influence the personas.
  • Build a rolling12-month, integrated activation plan that brings to life the total brand experience; partner across the creative and digital teams and empower them to deliver executional excellence.
  • Own the development of differentiated brand positioning, messaging and content creation to make an emotional and functional connection with identified personas.
  • Responsible for generating brand awareness, affinity and advocacy within activations through consistent content/creative that builds meaningful connections with audiences.
  • Champion and consistently bring to life the Plexus' brand through diligent reinforcement of the design system and identity guide, enabling and influencing the global organization to be brand-building advocates.
  • Lead event planning for trade shows, symposiums, technical conferences or community events which will showcase Plexus' industry expertise and thought leadership that are targeted for new business development and/or employment brand-building.
  • Review/approve external brand communications and logo usage within assigned focus area.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness (ROI) of marketing activations; embrace a results driven mindset, setting clear objectives, measurement, and test and learn plans to generate value creation case studies.
  • Identify research needs, execute research studies and projects as identified, and analyze results to identify opportunities and differentiated value positioning.
  • Stay current on market trends and competitive activity, bringing forward innovative brand-building solutions that accelerates growth.
  • Recommend, manage and control costs of brand activations to deliver to quarterly forecast targets.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field is required. MBA or pursuit of MBA is preferred.
  • Six (6) years+ of related experience in marketing, brand strategy and/or brand management is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience in the EMS industry is preferred.
  • Experience in developing digital and content marketing strategies and activation plans to deliver effective connections with target audiences.
  • Proven success in rolling out brand messages in a multinational, matrix organization is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
  • Proven capability to lead in a matrix organization driving collaboration across businesses and functions.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority across the organization.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to pivot problems into opportunities.
  • Strong analytics skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex problems and translating to business opportunities.
  • Knows and understands how to create insight-driven personas, customer journeys and build brand activations plans in service to the overall strategic brand foundational tools.
  • Able to craft compelling communications to influence business growth strategies and develop into actionable plans that inspires emotional connections with target audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with and influence internal and external decision makers. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Plexus Corp. in a professional manner.
  • Leader must be an independent self-starter with the ability to lead and work with people at all levels, including executive management. Must have exceptional organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment and the ability to work with cross-organizational teams.
  • Ability to have discretion and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality of all customer and company information.
  • Base understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; must possess a working knowledge of MS Office, including advanced computer skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

  • Role is based out of Plexus' Global Headquarters in Neenah, WI
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
