Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager works with Legal Counsel to manage contracts on behalf of Southwest Key and its affiliated entities.

Essential Functions:
    Oversee the overall management, preparation, review, and revision of contracts.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to identify potential areas of concern.
  • Coordinate and correspond with outside contractors to facilitate contract negotiation.
  • Implement and manage company contracts administration software and database.
  • Coordinate and correspond with internal departments to ensure proper communication and secure necessary internal approvals as required.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized files in accordance with company retention policies.
  • Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status.
  • Ensure contracts are renewed or terminated, as appropriate.
  • Ensure contract execution and termination is in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist in developing policies for contracts management and implement said policies.
  • Assist in education, awareness, and training activities for company staff regarding contract policies and procedures.
  • Work independently to prioritize, manage, and document work assignments within applicable deadlines.
Other Functions:
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in a Contracts Administrator or Contracts Manager role.
  • Experience with negotiating and/or drafting contracts.
  • Experience using contracts management software.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet-based applications.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent follow-up, organization, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Experience with federal contracting requirements and procurement preferred.
  • Experience developing and providing training preferred.
  • Experience writing policies and procedures preferred.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel. Temporarily remote due to COVID-19 mitigation protocol.
