Position Purpose | Under general supervision from Grounds Supervisors, the temporary Groundsworker performs a variety of sometimes strenuous physical tasks dedicated to the daily care and maintenance of grounds, shrubs, and plants using appropriate methods and techniques. Responsible for operating and maintaining all related tools, equipment, and vehicles, including mowers, seeders, rototillers, aerators, etc. In winter, responsible for removing snow and ice from sidewalks, patios, and some drives using hand tools and small and large vehicles. Responsible for removal and disposal of dirt, debris, and rubbish from campus lawns and lots. Seasonal, temporary position, up to six months. |
