Family Court of St. Louis County is hiring for a Family Court Coordinator in the Juvenile Department.

Entry salary is typically $45,760.00. This rate includes 10% addition to pay.

This is a non-merit position. Recruitment for this position will be handled by the Family Court of St. Louis County. Position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Perform complex court duties in support of a defined technical function requiring the application of in-depth knowledge of state and locate statutes, ordinances, administrative orders and codes. Independent decision-making without review by a superior.

Examples of Duties

Oversee re-assignment of family court cases pertaining to "one family one judge" goal. Check all cases in which a Family Court Judge/Commissioner has recused themselves or in which an attorney or party requests a change of judge to ensure all cases are reassigned per one judge/one family goal. Making sure all related family court and juvenile court cases with the same family are assigned to one judge/commissioner and if there is previous history with a judge/commissioner currently assigned to family court, all these are cases are assigned to that judge/commissioner.
Review pending cases assigned to Family Court Judges and Commissioners to determine if any pending cases, other than FC cases, could relate to these FC cases. Document the findings of any related cases and note the same in the court's case management system.
Compile and review the comprehensive Family Court monthly statistical reports.
Review case age and open inventory reports to ensure all cases have future court dates.
Review statistical reports as needed, including cases filed, disposed and pending caseloads.
Assist with the review of reassigned caseloads to ensure all cases have been properly reassigned.
Oversee and participate in the continued development of the Family Court portion of the court website and ensure that updated information is timely added to the websites, including all forms used in the Family Court.
Review revised Local Court Rules to ensure that Summonses contain the latest versions of certain local court rules and directives which apply to the Family Court.
Assist with the timely entry of judgments in the Order of Protection office.
Assist with the preparation of the dismissal dockets for Family Court cases, including identifying those cases ready for dismissals, sending out dismissal notices and making the proper docket entries in the court files.
Assist with backlogs in the various sections within the Family Court Department.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and one year of related experience.
(Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis provided a high school diploma or GED has been obtained)
