THE ROLE: Client Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Client Directors to join our team. The Client Director (CD) is part of a new initiative within the Digital Business Services and Solutions division tasked with driving large-scale cloud service wins and transformational relationships with our clients.

The ideal candidate is a senior technologist with director selling/account management experience with enterprise accounts as either a direct seller or in a pre-sales capacity. The successful candidate will bring solutioning knowledge and expertise in digital transformation and cloud architectures, deep experience in one or more public clouds, have experience implementing or deploying solutions at actual customer environments and can function as a technology advisor/ consultative expert inside a customer account. The CD will be assigned to strategic accounts that have exhibited a high propensity for cloud transformation projects. The CD works with the account team and partners with the HyperScalers in developing a digital technology business engagement plan. The CD is expected to develop a cloud solutions footprint for the client based on an astute understanding of the client's business challenges and technology environment as well as help prioritize value of the solutions both short and long term.

As a Senior Strategic Leader in the organization, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives and C-level roles, to deliver large-scale applications, Data Transformation or Cloud Migration projects. This role will also be involved in translating the requirements into successful project outcomes, providing oversight to the successful delivery, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving innovation in our client engagements.

Travel Requirements: The Client Director role with require travel up to 25%. Travel will include visiting clients on-site and corporate events.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the account team at strategic accounts and develop an engagement plan and build sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Define and execute a technology roadmap, identifying areas for innovation and ongoing improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with executives and C-level roles, serving as a trusted advisor and technical expert.
  • Lead monthly briefings and executive briefings with Key Decision Makers inside your accounts.
  • Provide guidance and support to the project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to design and implement scalable and secure solutions.
  • Ensure successful progress on initiatives, be the voice of reason for the customer.
  • Maintain a technology scorecard and heatmap for the strategic accounts.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in cloud technologies, particularly with one of the public clouds (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a proven track record of overseeing, scoping and/ or delivering successful projects.
  • Strong knowledge about public cloud methodologies, expertise on the components and solutions of at least one of the public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience and Advanced Certifications on any one of the public cloud platforms is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in the oversight or delivery in any of the following scenarios: (1) Large-scale application transformation (2) Data Modernization (3) Data transformation (4) Cloud Migration projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and converse with executives and C-level roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical challenges.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Direct sales/pre-sales skills in an enterprise environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • Experience as a quota carrying individual or on a team.
