POSITION SUMMARY
The 2nd shift ID/OD Grinder, working closely with the 1st shift grinder, will program, set-up, adjust and operate the year old ID/OD Kellenberger grinder to grind close tolerance, precision machinery parts using engineering and machining documentation.  This position requires a combination of technical capability, creativity and troubleshooting abilities and a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Plan sequence of steps to achieve precise product dimensions using engineering documentation
•Program and set up grinder for OD, ID, thread, profile, and cam grinding operations
•Operate grinder and make adjustments as needed
•Conduct final inspection on parts using indicators, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
•Conversational programming of Fanuc CNC controls with Kellenberger interface (preferred, but will train)
•Maintain equipment and machines/perform PM
•All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
•Associates Degree in CNC Machining, Tool & Die or other related study (or equivalent experience)
•3+ years’ experience programming, set-up and operation of CNC ID/OD grinders
•Demonstrated high productivity through the use of good planning and technology 
•Attention to detail and a desire to maintain high standards of workmanship
•Possesses own quality inspection and hand tools

PHYSICAL REEQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
•Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds unassisted.  Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds unassisted. Occasional use of overhead cranes for lifts greater than 50 pounds
•Regularly stands for 8 hours
•Regularly bends, stoops, reaches, climbs, and moves
•Regularly exerts up to 10 pounds of force frequently exerts up to 25 pounds of force to move objects
•Work environment is bright and temperature controlled
•The nature of the work involves contact with various metals and oils
