Job Summary:
This 12-month position is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to the fraternity and sorority community within the institution. This position requires the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, embrace teamwork and collaboration, and have the desire to be highly engaged with students and stakeholders.

This role reports to the Associate Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs.

This is a 12-month (40 hours a week), exempt (salary), benefits-eligible position based in Lewisburg, PA.

Job Duties:

Risk Management and Advising
  • Advise a portfolio of National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Conference (NPHC) chapters, and a related governing council. Providing educational, advisory, and administrative support to the overall greek student population.
  • Oversee council recruitment and/or intake activities in accordance with University and inter/national organization policies and standards.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusivity, diversity and equity within the fraternity and sorority community, as well as a dedication to upholding the standard and policies of the institution.
  • Educates chapters and chapter leadership on University and National policies regarding risk management and mitigation strategies related to chapter events and daily functions.


Student Staff and Operations
  • Develops and executes the selection, training, and supervision of the peer advisor staff in fraternity and sorority chapter spaces with a focus on the implementation of training and development and connection opportunities for peer advisors.
  • Works in close collaboration with colleagues in Residential Education, Housing Services and Facilities to coordinate fraternity and sorority occupancy, opening and closing processes, health and safety inspections and other facilities issues.


Program Leadership and Development
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at promoting leadership development, academic success, and the values of the fraternity and sorority community through the collaboration of campus colleagues and external national headquarters partnerships.


Other Duties As Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, education or related field OR Bachelor's degree and minimum of two years experience working directly with organizational advising within a higher education setting. Graduate assistantships or national headquarters experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cultures and styles at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to student development and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - oral and written
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships while building consensus and cultivating additional support.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years post-masters experiences working in fraternity & sorority affairs, housing or residence life.
  • Knowledge of and a working understanding of current best practices in Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, health and safety practices and the structure of NIC, NPHC, MGC and NPC organizations.
  • Experience with Campus Director and Campus Labs.


Physical Demands:
  • Able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; sit or stand at a computer and use a mouse/keyboard for long periods of time
  • Able to move about the office to access file cabinets and office equipment such as phones, copiers and printers
  • Able to work in an environment with a moderate level of interruptions


Job Exempt:

Salary Range:
49,200.00-61,500.00

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
