BGS is seeking an experienced and customer-orientated scientist or engineer with experience in the clean-tech industry at the startup and/or high-volume manufacturing level to serve as a technical advisor for the Solar Energy Technology Office's (SETO) Manufacturing and Competitiveness Team. Strong preference for a candidate with a silicon PV background. The Manufacturing and Competitiveness Team supports entrepreneurs and companies in developing and commercializing new solar technologies that can grow and diversify the U.S. solar industry, increase U.S. competitiveness in solar energy manufacturing, and advance progress toward the carbon-free power sector by 2035. The selected candidate will interface with SETO staff, U.S. industry, and R&D organizations, including national labs and academia, to help companies with promising solar technologies survive the funding gaps that often emerge in the development cycle of new technologies.
