Purpose

Subject matter expert of Project management in the organization that has an impact on the coordination of a product or set of products life, at all stages of the product lifecycle. Responsible for coordinating the project team in translating the project strategy into an overall cross functional integrated plan and for providing routine base update of project status.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accountable to critically define, communicate and updated a clear, integrated, cross-functional project plan, which encompasses product lifecycle, including post approval life cycle management (i.e., label expansion, key Phase 4 activities, Geographic roll-out) and always fully aligned with the TA strategy developed by the TAM.
  • Define with GPL and GDL project objectives, critical milestones according to project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Coordinate project team in the definition of project risk profile and following mitigation actions, integrate them in the overall project plan and in the PoS assessment.
  • Facilitate the project governance process by supporting core team in the definition and maintenance of the project documents.
  • Combine domain expertise in order to developand translate in feasible development plan the proposedstrategic options to make the best trade-off decisions for Chiesi, global value and risk profile and proactively coordinate project execution.
  • Ensure effective communication across CTMs, functions and other relevant stakeholders supporting the achievement of common project goals.
  • Facilitate and identify deadlocks and delay driving consensus among team members, underline roadblocks to GPL and DLwhen required.
  • Accountable for planning, scheduling, and organizing Project meetings with CTMs.
  • Accountable of track project progression and communication of project status against key project milestones and budget baseline to core team and main stakeholders on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Promote the project management culture and tools within and outside the company, and the development of lean processes and tools to ensure that projects are executed effectively and efficiently and ensure that current project governance processes are followed.
  • Contribute to the definition of project budgets, monitor and challenge the project spending to align implementation with TA/product strategy, facilitating the definition ofpriorities within the project budget across all involved functions in order to secure proper project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Alliance Management in managing projects in partnership and contribute to the evaluation of potential new projects in line with Evaluation/Due diligence defined process.
  • Build with GPL and DL empowered/capable CTMs through support of their development objectives and provision of feedback (particularly on Project Management competences).
  • Participate constructively in providing feedback to GDL&GPL performance, where required.
Experience Required
  • At least 5 years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in one of the following areas: R&D, business, computer science.
  • Experience navigating highly matrixed environments, with proven track record in managing cross-functional and multicultural teams, and teams collaborating with external partners.
  • Resilient, flexible, proactive and fast-learner.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex and diverse inputs to a problem, and drive and accelerate critical decisions to recommend solutions/ preferred options.
  • Proactiveness and ability to lead team's dynamics and discussions with courage, can comfortably confront and work through conflict.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive consensus, aligning different perspectives and inspiring team members to collectively define and achieve critical milestones, identify and mitigate risks which may impact successful delivery of projects.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills, including written and oral communication of executive level information.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications & Planisware. Other project management software knowledge is a preference criteria.
  • Certified as Project Management Professional through an international certification (PMI, Prince2).
  • Fluent in English and willing to travel for work.
Education

  • Degree in a Life Science or Economic or management Engineering subject
  • Master degree preferred in science, business, or related field
