Job Description

We areSystems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment.Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

Job Summary:

As a Shipping Associate, you are expected to ensure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings, packing slips, shipping labels, export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processes, and determine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • No minimum education required

  • 2+ years forklift experience

  • Ability to use basic computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, Internet, etc.

  • Solid verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the transportation industry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification

  • Ensure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings, packing slips, shipping labels, Export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processes

  • Determine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipments

  • Work with Customer Service department to resolve late orders, shortages, expedited requests, claims for freight damage, and freight estimates; resolve shipping delays due to customer requests

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipments by working with manufacturing when shortages or discrepancies are discovered

  • Maintain accurate and updated database of shipping weights

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules
