A Brief Overview
Supervise and lead a team of Warehouse Technicians and Purchasing Coordinators in the daily warehousing operations. The Warehouse Supervisor assists the Maintenance Director/Community Director/Director of Operations with the definition, planning, implementation, and coordination of specific assigned projects/scope of work which has specified deliverables or long-term tasks that require specialized resources. The Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees the purchasing, receipt, coordination and safety of goods that are inventoried and distributed throughout the property. Maintain vendor compliance for HMC to include: Notivus system, Contracts, and CR&R/PRA purchases. Monitors regulatory compliance, company policies and procedures related to procurement management and ensure that all property employees are familiar with and understand the policies.

What you will do

  • Leads and manages warehouse technicians and purchasing coordinators on a day to day basis. Trains, coaches' employees in performance improvements, develop and appropriately manage employee's performance reviews. Practices fair and professional conduct with employees in accordance with company policies and procedures under the direction of the Maintenance Director. Provides ongoing work assignments for employees, provides on the job training and monitors progress. Schedules work hours for assigned employees.
  • Responsible for overseeing stock control assuring that orders are processed accurately and expediently by employees and are meeting allocated budget expectations.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of maintenance parts, property tools, property assets (furniture, etc.) equipment and capital purchases under the direction of the Maintenance Director(s). Ensure all items are properly tracked and processed within inventory operating and purchasing systems.
  • Ensure purchase orders are being created for any purchase or contracted service and allocated per budget allocations. Enters data and maintains declining budget as required by property.
  • Operates under implemented approved budget on a day to day basis and is held accountable for operating within budget guidelines. Holds vendors accountable for billing accuracy and adherence to property policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Maintenance Director to define the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete all projects.
  • Maintains current knowledge of and assists with compliance of all OSHA regulations.
  • Actively identify opportunities for more efficient practices.
  • Develop forms, records and revisions to documents as needed for inventory control, project activities and continued operational accountability.
  • Collect and analyze multiple types of data and prepare detailed and specialized reports (Inventory trends and product usage reports, capital items receipt and disposition).
  • Provide continued support as needed to the property directors for Notivus system, new vendor approvals, Contracts, CR&R/PRA as it relates to vendor compliance.
  • Must ensure the health, safety and cleanliness of the work environment and assist in overseeing the weekly inspection of machinery and tools.
  • Uphold all company policies, goals and values.
  • Represent the community in a professional manner at all times-on and off the property.
  • Provide professional representation in line with SR Director of Operations, Director of Operations, Community Director, Assistant Community Director and Maintenance Director.
  • Escalate property issues or any crises to appropriate parties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required and
  • Bachelor's Degree B.S. or B.A. degree and/or industrial management or related field Preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment. Required and
  • two years of of supervisory experience. Required
  • Be able to work outside in all weather conditions and perform physical work, as well as to lift weights of up to 50 pounds regularly and above 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires a self-motivated, team player who has the ability to prioritize and demonstrates strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-moving environment.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of different people in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications (OSHA & HVAC EPA) Required


Compensation
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $30.06 - $ 33.77, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer.
