Job Description

E-S Plastic Products, LLC is a mid-size plastic injection molding company.  We have an immediate opening for an experienced Third Shift Supervisor at our Saukville WI location.


Job Summary
This position is an hourly position and is a working supervisor.  You will need to be able to “roll-up” your sleeves and be a working member of the team out on the production floor.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for overseeing all production personnel on assigned shift.
  • Supervise roughly 10-15 people per shift.
  • Open up the facility on Sunday nights and get production up and running.
  • Facilitate production by following scheduled priorities with work station assignments
  • Provide employee training for new and current employees
  • Track orders by physical inventories when needed.
  • Help with setups, startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting to keep production flowing smoothly.
  • Coordinate assignments for production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
  • Track and enter production numbers into database at the end of the shift.
  • Manage timekeeping for all direct reports; coordinate staff requests for time off to ensure a solid workforce for each shift.  Work with HR to manage employee attendance.
  • Responsible for staff performance, disciplinary actions, coaching and development to encourage employee contribution, challenge their potential, and maximize their results.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture.
  • Responsible for maintaining robust technical knowledge on all equipment in the molding department in order to meet production goals safely.

Qualifications:
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Previous experience in an injection molding environment is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college preferred
  • Need to be responsible, dependable and reliable.  This position is key to keeping our 3rd shift running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Must be a strong leader and show by example
  • Team building skills
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks is essential
  • Strong computer skills; previous experience with manufacturing systems necessary
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes as they arise
