What you'll be doing:

Utilize analytical and problem solving skills to develop and analyze data and information related to corporate actuarial, ratemaking, large account pricing, and/or predictive modelling in order to support the growth and profitability objectives of the company while developing actuarial knowledge and following generally accepted actuarial standards of practice.

**This is a hybrid position that requires 2 days per week in the office and can be based in either of our four locations:**

1) Milwaukee, WI
2) Madison, WI
3) Merrill, WI
4) Mechanicsburg, PA

On any given day, you'll:
    Assist in conducting analyses that adhere to actuarial standards of practice.
  • Complete updates to existing models and processes.
  • Retrieve data from multiple data sources.
  • Retrieve and manipulate data using current tools and software such as EXCEL, SAS, and VBA macro coding.
  • Participate in limited ad hoc analyses.
  • Communicate completed work projects through memos, documents, and emails as directed.
  • Present completed work projects to Actuarial staff and other departments.
  • Document assumptions, methods, sources, and considerations and organize documents.
  • Read articles and papers pertaining to actuarial methodologies.
Here's what we expect
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior work with math, statistics, and analytical concepts is required.
  • Possess problem solving skills.
  • Ability to learn existing work tools, models, and processes.
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of actuarial methodologies.
  • Ability to learn data sources and requirements.

Exact compensation will vary based on consideration of a variety of factors including education, skills, experience, and location.

USD $63,900.00/Yr.
Maximum Compensation
USD $95,800.00/Yr.
