Job Description
At St. Joseph Academy, our mission is to empower children by educating them to be successful lifelong learners and problem solvers. Our programs serve children 6 weeks-8th grade. St. Joseph Academy is looking for a principal for the 2024-2025 school year. The Principal will provide professional leadership to organize, administer, supervise and evaluate St. Joseph Academy’s School Program.

Operational tasks include, but are not limited to:
•Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of the Felician Sisters and the instructional programs, extracurricular activities and discipline systems
•Establish annual master schedule for instructional programs, evaluate lesson plans and observe classes on a regular basis
•Establishment of parent relationships
•Oversee all School staff, directly supervising Assistant Principal, Teachers and Secretary
•Development of curriculum and staff
•Develop and administer School procedures and policies
•Maintain budgetary guidelines
•Attend meetings pertinent to the advancement of the School

Qualifications:
•Masters in Educational Administration, or related field, required
•Valid DPI Principal License #5051 required
•2+ years experience as a School Principal, preferably at a private/parochial school
•Exemplary interpersonal, collaborative, team building, planning and managerial skills
•Demonstrated ability to lead and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
•Ability to effectively supervise and evaluate staff
•Ability to work with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic communities
•Strong knowledge of standards, benchmarks and assessments
•Bilingual Spanish (verbal/written) is strongly preferred
