Old Republic Surety Company (ORSC) is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join its AdministrativeTeam at the home office located in Brookfield, WI. ORSC ranks among the nation's top underwriters of contractors' performance and payment bonds, miscellaneous surety, and commercial fidelity, offering thousands of types of bonds. In general, the Business Analyst serves as a liaison between multiple business units and technology teams to define processes, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement new functionality. This position will document stakeholder requirements, measure/monitor process efficiency, and develop and manage projects. In addition, this position coordinates implementation, testing, training, and communication efforts with vendors and multiple business groups.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in formalizing business requirements and processes and working with various areas of a business delivering and supporting technology solutions. In addition, previous experience working within the insurance industry is required and ideally includes Surety-specific industry experience.
Working as a Business Analyst requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary.Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.
Travel
This position requires occasional travel by use of motor vehicle, public transportation, and/or airplane.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally. The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 40 pounds. No personal protective equipment is required. Ergonomic equipment is available to employees.
