Position Title: Machinist - 2nd Shift

Wage: $22.00 - $26.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 3:30pm - 1:00am

Machinist Responsibilities:
- Perform manual machine operation set-ups and processes
- Read measuring tools (dial calipers, micrometers)
- Read and interpret basic blueprints
- Read and interpret work orders and work instructions
- Operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and production saws
- Set up and operate Orbit Forming machine to produce piece parts according to blueprints
- Perform manufacturing duties to meet daily production standards of quality and quantity
- Complete required part inspection and properly record part count and verification of quality
- Communicate machine downtime, shortages, scrap, and delays when applicable
- Unload the steel truck and place material in applicable storage areas while using an overhead crane

Requirements for Machinist:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of manual machining experience or equivalent education/experience
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Good communication skills
- Able to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office
- Able to stand, twist, bend and crouch throughout shift
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to climb ladder to retrieve or store parts occasionally
