We Are Hiring:Surgical Technologist - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital - .9 FTE (Days)

Schedule: 0630-1500/1700, on call requirements (3-4 overnight weekday call in a 6 week schedule and 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks).

At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN and ophthalmology. Our 8 operating rooms, freshly renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery.

As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence we provide an array of orthopedic procedures including same day discharge procedures for total joints.

What You Will Do:

Surgical Technologist functions as the scrub person. Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures. They ensure that the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Facilitates a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.

What You Will Need:

  • Associates Degree
  • Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program CST preferred or equivalent military training program.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in the same area or in similar day-to-day situations in a hospital operating room setting.
  • AST membership preferred
  • Minimum License BLS (CPR)
  • Experience (or interest) in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferred
