We are looking for a talented individual to join our Beloit, WI team in the position of Automation Process Control Engineer / Engineer I A&PC.

As an Automation Engineer at our Beloit location, you will be part of a team responsible for providing automation support for the facility which involves continuous improvement projects, capital project design and implementation, and automation troubleshooting and problem solving. The successful candidate will be an active participant in cross-functional project teams, global supply and technology initiatives as well as process and operational improvement teams.

Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the automation of plant operations, setting the direction and providing day to day troubleshooting for DCS hardware/software, instrumentation, and controls.
Designing and implementing process control schemes to support existing processes which include process efficiency improvements, optimization, process variability reduction, compliance with environmental and safety requirements and equipment/process reliability. Also, identifying new process control improvement opportunities.
Interfacing with process engineers and operations teams on process and equipment improvements and project support.
Procuring, installing, configuring, and life-cycle maintaining DCS hardware and software (includes work stations, servers, networking equipment, operating systems, and other software).
Training technicians on automation operations (DCS).
Leading automation engineering projects.
Supporting the site PSM program, including assisting in building process technology packages and supporting PHA and safety interlock process.
Facilitate management of change requests to ensure that existing process changes are documented.
Sharing the responsibility for providing weekend and off-hour support for the plant-wide automation needs.

Short Description

We are looking for an effective, results-driven, self-directed and motivated team player who communicates in an open, honest manner. In addition, qualified candidates should possess the following:
BS in Engineering, including Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Science.
Experience with DCS or other process controls and data historians. Emerson Delta V and OSI PI experience preferred.
Familiar with PID controls and cascading controls.
Understanding of the principles of operation, reliability and performance characteristics of process measurement instrumentation, analyzers, control valves and VFDs.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Organizational and project execution skills, ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, building both technical and soft skills in the working group.
Self-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work virtually and connect with engineers globally.
Experience with the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
