Your seat at the table: Cookware Operator - Grade 9

In this seat you'll set up and operate belt sanders, Gisholt, hand lathes, bottom sanders, auto spin & bead lathes, brazers, light draw presses, oilers, grinders, seam welders, use hand or power lift trucks. Sets up punch presses, flattening presses and panel press, and is a catcher for blanking press. Operates Traditional Heavy Draw Presses.

This seat reports to: Production Supervisor

More specifics about what this seat does:

• Makes ready, installs, positions, adjusts, aligns, and removes all tooling and other parts and fittings required to operate machines such as listed above.
• Makes final and in-process adjustments to assure quality requirements are met.
• Operates machines by loading and unloading. Machines are generally activated by pressing buttons.
• Maintains equipment and tooling and takes appropriate corrective action if required.
• Observes operations and checks products for flaws, scratches, proper finish and other defects.
• Polishes minor imperfections on tooling.
• Moves material to and from the work area.
• Keeps a clean and safe work area.
• Must be capable of performing Cookware Operator-Grade 11 duties.

• Adequate math skills. Computer skills. Ability to stand all day. Good communication skills. Ability to self-direct. Mechanically inclined.
