Job Description
Position Title: 1st & 2nd Shift Machinist
Wage: $25-$30/hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm

Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide support in fabrication of tooling, stretcher jaws, and other maintenance and engineering requests
- Operate all machine shop equipment, including CNC Controlled Machines, cSurface Grinder, Belt Sanders, Lathes, Mills, Band Saws, Drill Press, Pedestal Grinders
- Program CNC controlled equipment (HAAS, Okuma)
- Participate in regularly scheduled Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
- Read and draw blueprints and geometric dimensions and tolerance
- Involved in 6s and continuous Improvement related activities
- Update Value Stream Leader on employee, quality, production, and safety issues
- Stop processes to correct quality, safety, or environmental problems
- Inspect and inventory site-generated hazardous waste staging areas
- Assist in the transfer of site-generated hazardous waste to on-site staging areas
- Direct storage of site-generated hazardous waste in the hazardous waste staging areas
- Conduct inspections of satellite accumulation areas
- Keep the shop neat and orderly
Machinist Requirements:
- Degree from a technical school with a concentration in CNC programming (CNC machinist certificate or diploma) or combination of CNC experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma/GED minimum
- Working knowledge of CNC codes and equipment, Espirit Software program, SolidWorks, Windows operating systems and programs, Vertical CNC, and Horizontal CNC Lathes
- Haas/Okuma CNC experience is a plus
- Standard hand tools and measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
