Job Description

We Are Hiring:Operating Room Assistant - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital OR - .6 FTE

Schedule: most shifts 0900-1730 with need to cover early shift and late shift when needed (6-1430, 11-1930, weekend on call requirements every 4th weekend

At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN and ophthalmology. Our 8 operating rooms, freshly renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery.

As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence we provide an array of orthopedic procedures including same day discharge procedures for total joints.

What You Will Do:

As an Operating Room Assistant, you will function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse. You will be responsible for assisting in general department cleaning, case cart preparation, running errands, and assisting with transporting of patients and room turnover.

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous operating room support staff role or training as a nursing assistant or other patient contact role preferred
