Join us as our new Sr. Scientist

This position works under general direction and is primarily responsible for the understanding and application of food cultures and enzymes, primarily into the cheese industry, but also other food segments. Requires the provision of technical support to internal and external customers for the purpose of supporting sales and marketing efforts.

In this role you'll make and impact by:

  • Planning, coordinating, directing and performing experiments using appropriate methodology and equipment and critically evaluate and interpret the results obtained.
  • Proactively engagingin knowledge-sharing
  • Working with Compliance General Legal Counsel to secure intellectual property rights
  • Interacting with customers in a professional manner
  • Promotingthe image of Novonesis as a knowledge-based company
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Widening specialized knowledge within the area
  • Recording the results obtained in ELN
  • Use CH and FC&E registration systems (Plw)
  • Planning, executingand reporting on trials in our Application and Technology Centre (ATC), or at customer plants

  • Providingthe technical support (sales and customers) for areas of responsibility, with focus on cultures and enzymes for defined segments of the Cheese Industry in close collaboration with the Commercial Development and account manager

  • Collaboratingclosely with all colleagues the Cheese application team, global and local

  • Producingrelevant technical reports, TSRs to a high scientific and technical standard
  • Prioritizing work as demands and strategy requires, having a high degree of analytical skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
  • Analyzing data and critically evaluating the results obtained in collaboration with technical colleagues and input from Account Manager and Commercial Development
  • Usingproject management tools in appropriate manner
  • Understanding the cheesemaking process, focusing on Cheese segment technology and provide actionable recommendations for trial planning, execution and the data analysis

  • Self starter, highly motivated, structured way of working, with ability to multitask and prioritize based on interaction with colleagues and FC&E strategy
  • Ability to travel and visit customers as required
