Job Description
Position Title: Kit Gather Operator
Wage: $22-$25/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 2pm-10pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring Kit Gather Operators for a company in Waukesha, WI. If you're looking for a great company to learn and grow with, this is your opportunity. The Kit Gatherer plays a vital role in ensuring efficient project execution by collecting and organizing necessary materials, tools, and equipment required for various tasks. They collaborate closely with scheduling, supervisors, and others to fulfill requests promptly and accurately. This is a direct hire role.
Kit Gather Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review work orders, project specifications, or requests to determine materials and tools needed
- Collect, gather, and organize necessary items for specific projects or tasks
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of gathered kits, verifying quantities and quality of materials
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, and scheduling to restock materials as needed
- Maintain inventory records and update systems to track materials and their availability
- Collaborate to understand unique requirements and preferences
- Handle and store materials in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including storage areas
Kit Gather Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications a plus
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications or work orders
- Proficiency in basic inventory management and record-keeping
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and suppliers
- Lift and move heavy objects as required
- Lift 50lbs
- Understanding of safety procedures related to handling materials and tools
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities include up close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
