Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include metal stamping, laser cutting, brake forming, tubular stamped components, CNC and Swiss machined parts, wire forms, thread rolling, weldments, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in-house tool and die department and fastener distributorship.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler manages the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines. Duties include ensuring material and equipment availability, scheduling production and monitoring the production process for problems.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Review sales forecasts and current orders to assess inventory status and upcoming production needs.
  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products to meet all customer requirements.
  • Verify resource availability (material, equipment, and labor) required for production to deliver excellent customer service at optimal inventory levels.
  • Create / evaluate/ modify production schedules to meet customer requirements and ensure accurate lead times.
  • Promptly addressing and resolving scheduling issues to minimize delays in production.
  •  Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to production schedules and requirements.
  • Recommending solutions to reduce lead times as well as improve production processes.
  • Monitor and drive required changes to production schedules to ensure that customer service deadlines are met.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of an improved production planning system.
  • Using forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes to ensure competitive posture.

Education and Experience:
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Two or more years of proven experience working as a production planner in a metal working or job shop environment
  • Experience in manufacturing disciplines, including scheduling and planning, time management, materials, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: experienced in solving complex issues and utilizing critical thinking skills to implement solutions.
