Job Summary

Building Attendant - Active Older Adults is responsible for the setup, supervision, and coordination of activities for Active Older Adult programming.

Position Summary
  • Responsible for setup, supervision, and coordination of activities for Active Older Adult programming.
  • Offer support and assistance to the participants.
  • Keep accurate records and file reports that are required. Records include payroll, attendance, incident/accident reports, etc.
  • Maintain the work area as a safe place to meet by enforcing safety rules, reporting, and eliminating all types of hazards.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor concerning any supply needs that may arise.
  • Report all problems to the Supervisor.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Required

Reports to the Supervisor of Active Older Adults.

Job Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to meet the scheduling needs required for this position.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous work experience in a public setting with a diverse population.
  • Experience organizing and/or leading sports activities.
  • CPR/First Aid training/certification.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work with all age groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain files, assemble reports, and perform multiple office functions.
  • Ability to deliver exemplary customer service to the public and district staff.
