Job Description
Family owned machine shop is looking for a hands on 2nd shift Lead Machinist. This individual will be responsible for leading the shop in CNC Machining, Mills, Lathes, etc. We are looking for a team player; a true contributor, eager to learn our business and assist with the management of daily operations on the shop floor. 

2nd shift works Monday - Thursday 3 pm - 1 am.  

Job Responsibilities:
  • Keep all machinists on task (train if necessary) and provide direction.
  • Quality control / inspection – must follow ensure employees follow through on inspection of parts throughout the process
  • Recommendations to Management regarding personnel decision including staffing, evaluations, discipline and compensation.
  • Produces machining parts on intricate parts with knowledge of Machining centers and /or Turning centers.
  • Ability to read routings, customer prints 
Proficiency necessary:
  • Must have proficient knowledge of machining - lathes and mills, cutting tools, measuring tools and gauging processes.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of well rounded machining background
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift.
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week.
